We are a multi-cultural, international tribe. We share space and resources on a big blue marble. We bring light and love into our lives through celebrations of all kinds. A light shines on our diversity as each year closes and a new one begins.
For all of you who celebrate Christmas, like my family does, may your holiday be a sweet pleasure, free of quarrel, and full of love. For all of you who celebrate the Winter Solstice, or Kwanza, or for those who have seen Hanukkah come and go this year, or for those who love a “Festivus for the Rest of Us,” I wish you the same.
In other words, peace on earth, good will t’ward men. Let us put down our quarrels, even if it’s only a truce. Let us remember the good work done by men and women across the globe to relieve the suffering of others and pause to ask if we’ve done our part (we rarely have).
If you haven’t seen this small video, I urge you to take a look. Without question, it’s the best reminder I’ve seen this year of what this season–every season–should be about.
Now be off with you! Enjoy your holidays, give a bear hug to the people you love, have a fantastic and safe New Year‘s celebration.
The BSP returns on Monday, January 3rd with lots of badge work updates!
