Las Vegas, Running Dry

Last week I was in Vegas. This week features Earth Day. So I couldn’t stop thinking that those two don’t belong in the same paragraph. Bam.

Flying into Las Vegas, you can’t help but notice that there’s a whole lotta desert on every side as far as the eye can see. Still, the fountains flow.

The mother of all Vegas fountains, you can watch the show every 15 minutes (and they're not the same!)

So where is all that water coming from? Is the greatest sin in Sin City the sin of misused natural resources? And given the odds, was this whole city-in-a-desert thing really a good bet?

Here’s what I learned. Enjoy.
